Critic Reviews for Game of Thrones Season 8

Daenerys and Cersei are portrayed as too ambitious and emotionally unfit to rule the Seven Kingdoms.

Sure, the dragons look great, but that's not what we watch Game Of Thrones for - we tune in for the characters, and the final season would have been more satisfying if those characters had had more room to breathe.

Season 8 is the weakest, but it's still good. It's just "Good" in amongst a series that constantly hit "Excellent" makes it really stand out...

[This season] made choices that I just didn't have to wrap it up somehow, and this season is just full of more extremes and it just doesn't work anymore or fit in with the rest...

Season 8 doesn't feel like it was earned, with too little time dedicated to growing characters paired with a greater emphasis on rushing to major plot points, rather than proving to those of us watching how inevitable they were.

I don't think anyone can be happy that this season focused, in the end, on Jon Snow, the least complicated main character on an ensemble full of brutal instincts and grasping ambition.

This concluding season may not live up to its promise, but it finds a sense of peace for its survivors.

Audience Reviews for Game of Thrones: Season 8

Absolute laziness on both the writer's and producers part; an insult to the fans and a disgrace to everyone who actually worked hard on this season.

CGI - 5 stars Acting - 5 stars Writing - Expectations were subverted... In the worse way possible. And that's how this show turned out to be the greatest show ever that never was.

Season 8 ruined this great series. Story telling was pathetic and there was no depth to the scenes. Events made no sense and had no logical explanation. Everything seemed rushed. No character faceoffs. It's a shame to have such a bad ending for such a great show ( great till season 7).

i never understood how people could "hate" directors or writers for shows and movies, i always found it hilarious and childish, but now i understand it.... now i do.

Hopes were probably too high. May well be the same ending planned by GRRM but as many have said the writing was rushed. The acting, the cinematography and costumes all excellent but the endings for many of our main loved characters made no sense. Really what was the point of Jon being the heir? Why did Bran insist he be told? If more Rome had been taken with the character and dialogue I could cope with most of the ending. Apart from Jon. Best TV ever let down by last 2 episodes.

Ugh. What a failure of a final season.

This serie has thought us so much. Tyrion's monologue is something that can be used to right a script. But there is a big problem with the end. We know that they were gooing to kill Cersei or the night king. But there is no explanation of how Arya passed 100 zombies or Daenerys lost her mind without any clues. As Mr Hitchcko says. For a suspense ending you have to give clues that not every carácter has

Great cinematography like always. All in all entertaining season but the quality of the writing has dropped significantly.

Completely disappointed. Character arcs ruined. Show ruined.

Horrible end to a fantastic series
