Nov 08, 2021unreal. I binged the whole series in a week. couldn't drop it.
-
May 09, 2021As engrossing and full of interesting camera work, great acting and surprising turns as Breaking Bad, with a little lighter touch. My only regret is that there are only three seasons.
-
Feb 09, 2021Actors are great! Such a variety of amazing talent in this show, but this has the typical triple Hollywood treatment - smoking (including vape and weed), porn, and anti-Christian (rag on Mormons). Dialog is kind of slow too, could be much funnier with less visual storytelling and more dialog.
-
Dec 23, 2020Really good all around. Not sure why I hadn't heard more about this series before.
-
Nov 18, 2020A shame this did not get more love. Get Shorty is just brilliant.
-
Jan 25, 2020A truly magnificent show. Chris Dowd was born to play this part.

Jan 18, 2020Best show since breaking bad.

Dec 16, 2019Get Shorty was a satisfying surprise. Chris O'Dowd was great, he was able to convincingly play both a loving family man as well as a gangster, and I also found myself rooting for Sean Bridgers' Louis Darnell character and wanted to see him really assume the writer he was pretending to be. I loved how this show focused on the theme of "fake it till you make it" and that pretty much a character's identity is whatever they choose it to be, I also liked how minor characters would be affected and start to change based off the things people would say or do to them. I liked Amara's backstory episode and I felt like she had a couple good moments in the season, but she got really boring by the end and I hope they do something more interesting with her next season. Ray Romano had some good moments as well but seemed a little underutilized. I felt like this season was a great introduction for these characters and I can't wait until season 2.

Nov 20, 2019Absolutely love this show! Anxiously awaiting news of a 4th season!!
-
Nov 17, 2019Still for me the best show on television now. Great writing, great acting and great character development. The show has some really dark scenes but they typically are surprising and always helpful in telling the story.
