Excellent anticipation of where you go without an actual refugee policy in place. Some episodes still suffer from poor animation, but clearly the money made by Gig 1 was partially reinvested. See more 04/30/2020 In my personal opinion. the second season of Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone complex is simply great. The first season had some smaller problems regarding the quality, mainly in the character design. The protagonists did not have enough depth for my taste. This changes in season 2 completely. It now is a truly fantastic anime series where you finally learn more about the background of the characters and even the enemies of section 9 now have different layers which makes them much more interesting and realistic. All in all I can recommend this series to all who liked the first season, but also to others, because it is not really necessary that one has seen the previous season. Anyone who likes anime with a bit more depth will most definitely like this season of Ghost in the shell as well.
