Set in a storybook Connecticut town populated by an eclectic mix of dreamers, artists and everyday folk, this multigenerational drama about family and friendship centers around Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter, Rory. Lorelai owns the town's bed-and-breakfast, the Dragonfly Inn, with best friend/chef Sookie, and contends with weekly dinners with eccentric, well-off parents Richard and Emily Gilmore (who always have something to say about their daughter's life). After high school, Rory attends Yale University but frequently returns to Stars Hollow to visit her mom.

Gilmore Girls is much bolder, diving right back into the plots it left dangling and showing off its Stars Hollow set with a fun shot of the whole town following Lorelai and Rory as they walk to Luke's diner to break the news of her pending marriage. Go to Full Review

Season 2 starts to get good when Jess deepens as a character and becomes more than just a Sal Mineo wannabe with a book in his back pocket. Go to Full Review

This is still early in the series, good stuff, I'm thinking it's still got quite a way getting better... But I love these characters and all the banter. Go to Full Review

The actions and thoughts of the characters are shaped throughout the episodes and, as civilized people we are, there are springs in our head that end up activating. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Raquel E @raquelea Nov 23 This season felt even richer and more emotional. The characters grow in ways that feel close to real life, especially the constant push and pull between love, independence, and the messiness in between. And then there’s Jess, who brings a spark that makes everything more complicated but also more interesting. The season is warm, funny, and quietly heartbreaking, and it left me even more attached to this world. Thank you cast and Amy See more Adrian B @RT44210100 01/11/2025 Season 1 was very good, but jeez they took a dive in 2. You have Jess the dumbest most idiotic kids in town. Just saying a character is smart, but then does alot of stupid decisions reflects on the IQ of the writer. Rory the same this season, just dumb. Luke's arc is the only one that's interesting and Lorelai takes a backseat on this season. Just pure garbage. See more Ali J @a_blank 11/29/2024 This season was an improvement of the first season. Sure, maybe Dean became a little overprotective and clingy to Rory, and Jess kind of interfered with Rory and Dean’s relationship, but Rory also fell for Jess and pretty much neglected Dean. I don’t know whose side to be one in regards to Rory’s car crashing. I also enjoyed the relationship between Lorelai and her parents improving, with Emily choosing Lorelai’s wedding tiara, Emily paying to remove Lorelai’s termites, Lorelai and Emily in matching red clothing in the Chilton fashion show, Lorelai helping Richard hire a secretary for his work, and Richard and Emily at Lorelai’s graduation. Rory disappointed fans when she wasn’t at Lorelai’s graduation, but Rory kept denying her falling for Jess despite Lorelai mentioning it. That was my only problem with this season, along with Christopher choosing Sherry over Lorelai at Sookie’s wedding. I also liked Lorelai and Sookie’s cooperation in opening their inn.
