Even those who have never cracked open a People magazine will appreciate the warmth and wit between its two plucky heroines. If only there was more time with just the two of them.

In era of revivals driven and manipulated by the almighty dollar, A Year in the Life is refreshing in its genuine creation.

The good news is that if you're not a Gilmore Girls person and your relatives are eager to watch it over the holidays, there's plenty of that staccato dialogue and family playfulness to entertain and divert you.

Gilmore Girls. It's not a lifestyle; it's a TV show you really liked 10 years ago, now extended on Netflix. We'll take it.

A sweet, sad, sentimental and (above all) joyous return to Stars Hollow.

In spite of all my questions (including the fact that Gilmore Girls doesn't really understand how media and freelancing works), I've really missed Stars Hollow.

The best television finales are often the ones that are controversial, and that rings true more than ever for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life was a highly anticipated return to the life of Rory and Lorelai Gilmore. The 4 seasonal episodes nicely broke up the story and allowed for a greater expansion of the storylines. The characters have grown but kept their classic witty banter they are beloved for. The inclusion of modern pop culture references kept audiences engaged and laughing. I really enjoyed the cameos from so many different original Gilmore Girls characters. These were definitely noticed and appreciated by dedicated fans of the show. A part I did not care for, however, was the musical number in the Summer episode. This dragged and did not serve to move the plot along at all. I also thought the actions of Rory’s character were uncharacteristic. Rory seemed much more lost and immature than she did in her younger years which just didn’t make much sense to me. Overall, I thought the series was a nice depiction of Stars Hollow in modern times but a continuation of the story into more episodes would provide a better opportunity to give a more in-depth review.

A melhor serie de drama/romance que eu ja vi, uma serie leve, engraçada, que cativa a gente a partir do primeiro episodio.

IF YOU LOVE THE GILMORE GIRLS DO NOT WATCH THESE THEY ARE AWFUL. rory's character is ok but her dealings with the boyfriends etc is so out of character and just not the rory from the series, the way she goes on is very annoying and just not funny in the slightest. loreli plays luke around because even in her middle age shes unsure and undecided which is so annoying , that whole side to her personality is just boring at this stage. the colouring of the 4 episodes is weird and doesn't fit, the whole thing has just lost its small town charm. the worst part was the whole steam punk musical thing they did at the end, cringed through it. so unoriginal. literally hated these. if you really like what the gilmore girls was about at the beginning of the series before the silly storylines to make it 'more juicy' for the watchers then do not watch these. awful.

One of the best comebacks ever, Gilmore Girls : A Year in the Life, offers the same witty humour as the original series. Its nostalgic feel makes for a heartwarming venture back into the sleep Stars Hollow.

Not the same feel, pace or likability as the original series, as sad as it makes me to write that.

I think fall was the best one. The end of it is promising for a new series.
