Set in the suburbs of Naples, Italy, the crime drama goes inside the Camorra, a fierce Neapolitan crime organization led by Pietro Savastano. The story is told through the eyes of Don Pietro's right-hand man, Ciro Di Marzio, whose faith in the family is tested when he realizes how far Don Pietro is willing to go to keep his power. Despite his feelings, Ciro feels an obligation to obey Don Pietro's orders when he tasks his underling with protecting his son Genny, who is being groomed to take Don Pietro's place while the elder Savastano is serving a lengthy prison sentence.

05/18/2022 I wondered if they'd manage to keep the plot interesting at series 3 - and yup, it has delivered. Not just the plot but the character development and ahem, character turnover. This series as a whole benefits from smooth seamless transitions across a very large cast so that you're always left with lots of familiar (despite few from the first or second series being around) to keep you invested and gripped. Back stateside, when I shared my story, a person told me about this series. The fact that it was in Italian was a huge plus. I was enthralled with this series from S1E1 !! Each episode is clever, unpredictable twists and turns in the plot, and thrilling. I've been won over a thousand times and recommend it to everyone. Second season with the alley boys killing and attempting to kill made men, with no repercussion? I don't think that's how it works.
