Rachel B @bildadtheshushu 2 days ago Absolute drivel. The most braindead, lousy excuse for a season finale I've ever had the displeasure of watching. The story is weak, and all the characters are dumbed down to the heavens just to accommodate for the chronic inability of the screenwriters to wrap up the only two dangling plot lines left from the previous season. The chosen solution? To delete the entire universe instead. Absolute cinema. I found more depth and character growth in a single Teletubbies episode than in this entire movie. It takes a special kind of talent to pass off the most flat, uninspired, sanctimonious wet catnip for faux-nihilists that is the final dialogue with God, as something meaningful. Same with trying to pass off Aziraphale and Crowley's emotional constipation as something full of meaning, when it’s actually full of something else entirely. The bar of narrative decency is in hell and the demons would be tripping over it on their way to work if they didn't have better taste and higher standards. Sadly, i had to force myself to watch the entire 90 minutes of the finale, just to confirm it was as poorly written as it first appeared. Dozens of fan fiction writers could - and have - produced a better conclusion to the story. Aziraphale and Crowley will live on in the hearts and minds of those who write and read fan fiction, even if the creators of this episode thought they and the eight billion plus humans in their world weren't worth saving. See more B R @Zenra Sep 14, 2026 It is bewildering to me how you can have 2 characters with such a perfect chemistry - beloved by so many fans - just to end the story in such a bleak way by killing them off and replacing them with shallow copies. It's an ending of a miserable man, spitting on the grave of Terry Pratchett. My hopes and wishes go out to Rob and the team for a real chance to give Aziraphale and Crowley their true happy ending one day.
