Entertaining? perhaps. but OMG I am 27 but what the f**k are the writers/directors/ thinking when making this show? what kind of message are they sending to young people? what hell are they trying to normalize?? This is simply not okay. no underage should ever watch this show. it's sad where the media is trying to take youth just because "accepting" is a trend. we cant forget values are also important. The fact that these tv shows normalize underage consumption of drugs, promiscuity, alcohol consumption, smoking, the message that the sexuality of a homosexual couple will influence their kids sexual orientations (my point is that it's implying if you have homosexual parents you will be as well, there is nothing wrong with that but it can't be stereotyped like that), among so many other wrong messages because it's not like they are being resolved in a healthy way on the show. I am so disappointed it just so sad. fine, there are exaggerations accepted when trying to create entertaining content but there is a line especially when these shows are watched by young people.

(*slight spoiler if you haven't watched episode 1) I'm on the fence. So far the characters are intriguing and I'm interested in the scandals to come. The premise that the ‘Gossip Girl' website is run by disgruntled teachers, however, is laughable at best, and mostly just cringeworthy.

This isnt the final score, because the show not ended yet. Until now this show seens bad/ok, I don't know exactly how to describe everything I feel, except for guilty pleasure, because I'm having fun, an anticlimactic feeling every time some conflict is created and resolved and the feeling that the gossip part of this "Gossip Girl" is extremely weak.

There are some good scenes but most of the time it's meh. Don't think this reboot was needed.

I would've loved to have seen a reboot with a new set of writers and a fresh perspective. Sadly, they decided to stick to the original formula, and quickly fell back into their old writing habits. The dialogue is rough, and really lets the show down. Not to mention the actors. And while it's aesthetically pleasing, the storytelling is mind numbingly vapid.

Gossip Girl 2021 is like If Dawson's Creek Were super rich (smart) kids…. Throw in OG GG A pandemic mostly viewed through Social Media And this show make it This is only the FIRST season… Something New always awaits

Don't watch this hoping for the old Gossip Girl! It's its own show, and a fun one at that! The story is immediately gripping with a fresh update on the original show's format.

This version seems to be a critic on the rich and everything they stand for. Which is what the original was supposed to be before the market crashed. I hope they continue to go that route otherwise I won't watch it. Although Max is by far the most interesting.

I don't really understand the low critics' score. The story and the characters are more complex than the original ones. And there are great characters, too! It is definitely as entertaining as its predecessor.

I am actually enjoying this show so far! I think more people would feel the same way if it was compared to the original Gossip Girl less. They are completely different shows. The only thing I find unlikeable about the show is the teachers. I just think it's kind of creepy and I hope that it's not them controlling the Gossip Girl account the entire show because it's quite disgusting. On another note, I don't hate any of the characters from the friend group which is super rare for me. I am also super intrigued with the Max, Audrey, Aki love triangle it really keeping me invested and waiting for the next episode. I'm glad that there is more diversity in this reboot because there was barely any in the OG Gossip Girl and I hope that they are able to execute it well. Overall, I am truly enjoying this show!
