What can I say about that? Clearly, the writers felt that their ability to write police procedurals was not up to snuff, so they relied on Lost-style melodrama to try to hold viewers’ attention. All I can say is that Jane Tennison would not spend any time looking for a missing ex lover. She would just pour another drink and get on with the investigation. I'm from insane amerikkka but the police everywhere should be able to use deadly force against a suspected criminal if self defense is required. That part I don't understand about London.
