One of my favorite things about this finale is what it leaves unspoken and unfixed in two leads defined, in part, by their irreparable flaws. Go to Full Review

Hacks is, most richly, a show about collaboration, about how creative friction breeds originality; in the battle between boomers and Zoomers, it points the way toward an armistice. Go to Full Review

This final season has felt like a victory lap -- but has had some all-time episodes, like the one on AI. It’s ending with the perfect timing of its jokes. Go to Full Review

Very few stories about artists have understood so clearly that talent can open all the doors to success, but only the truth shared between two people can pierce through the doors of loneliness. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The final ten episodes continue to deliver the sharp humour that has defined the previous four seasons while adding a layer of emotional maturity that comes with watching its characters confront their own limitations. Go to Full Review

Claude G @RT07416073 5d Hacks has crafted and delivered a lot of interesting characters in its 5 seasons. It's more or less it's own hackaverse :) I think that the ending is actually pretty much inline with the character that is Vance. The power of a good joke is what actually keeps her going. I think that there is real potential for a spin-off. And no, I don't think that Jean Smart should be a central character in that spin-off even though, she certain gave Hacks the gravitas that it has. The show's ending is conducive to a spin-off. I would watch it. It's the type of show you simply enjoy the ride and don't think too hard. There's a casino, the take over the talent agency, the new TV show, etc. Lots of fodder for new material and lots of great talent and characters to keep the stories moving. See more Dolly S @Dolly6890 Aug 11 I was surprised that I enjoyed the first couple seasons. The dynamic between Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder is great. But the show is weak whenever the side-characters and side-plots are on screen. The side stories are weak filler and I expect better of HBO. See more Paul C @Paulppp Aug 3 This is definite must see TV. It’s funny irreverent painful heartbreaking and joyful. Exceptional writing, directing and acting. One of the best things on TV. Jean Smart. Jean Smart. You cannot describe the depth of her performance. It’s just beyond. See more Will W @wiwright334 Aug 3 First off, one of my favorite shows of all time Spoiler: two things I wanted changed in the finale Ava should have given Deborah co-authorship Of the pilot of the new who’s making dinner show, because Deborah’s husband stole that from her. Also, jimmy should have rejected bob lipka when he called. That’s all. Otherwise great season. Thanks for going out on top, Hacks! See more Effie W @Effie877 Aug 2 What an ending. It was just such a good show. If you've not seen it, I suggest you do it. It's a great show and well worth watching. See more John Y @JYJr16 Aug 2 Good wrap-up season. Loose ends tied up. Some logic stretches keep it from being perfect, but a strong close to an excellent show. See more Read all reviews
