Hand of God boasts a talented cast and intriguing premise, but neither are enough to overcome a resounding lack of meaningful drama or impactful thrills.

It's not boring... It's awfully wearing, like having your nose rubbed in malevolence and turgidity, without offering up enough character drama to make it worthwhile. Go to Full Review

This is a show that's unnecessarily bleak, far too impressed with its own edginess, and completely predictable to anyone who's watched television before. Go to Full Review

Amazon's new drama Hand of God boasts a stellar cast of veteran and newer actors, yet it fails to compel as it weaves a story of attempted suicide, rape and religious fervor. Go to Full Review

There's no real reason to hold out for any sort of levity should you decide to endure all ten hours of this thing. Go to Full Review

The wheels keep turning but can take too long to get rolling while the plot hits some ruts in the road. But as a viewer, I still remained more inclined to think "Hmm, where's this going?" rather than "I've had it, that's it." Go to Full Review

Gary E @Elliottgray 02/24/2025 Wow…….what nonsense!!!!! From episode 1 season 1 it’s pretty clear all the judges sentences and decisions would have been overturned due to his crazy naked hallucinations whilst swimming naked in a mid town fountain. WTF? Absolute nonsense from the beginning. Grow up and research things before driving ahead with crap like this. It’s for stupid, ignorant people only. See more Matt H @RT48251362 10/19/2024 Seems like it would have been a lot better If they didn't have to make up drama for an hour each episode to distract you about the irrelevant side dramas that have nothing to do with the plot. Anime does this. They call them filler episodes See more Joan L @RT60936644 06/03/2023 I wasn't sure about it in the beginning, but this was a fantastic series with a never before seen plot. Every actor in this was outstanding, and Dana Delany is one of the most beautiful women in the world. I was so happy watching the very last episode of Season two. I would definitely watch it if there was a season three. The ending was absolutely perfect, but I still would like to see it move on to another season. although every actor played a wonderful part, Garret Dillahunt was outstanding as this character, KD. See more 02/19/2021 I couldn't get through the first episode. The acting is so bad and the writing is so stale that I found myself dumbfounded to how this managed 5 stars on Amazon video despite over 35000 reviews. The cast and premise had me hopeful and optimistic but this show was just too bad to be patient. See more 12/27/2020 Overall, a great film which fulfilled its purpose by the end of the story. I think this movie can relate to Christians who are well versed in the bible stories. Just like the in Bible the characters are flawed, but when chosen pretty much cannot deny their new purpose. Also, the bible texts used were great. Also the way in which God furfilled his mission in mysterious ways also mimics the Christian views. Of course the violence, sex, drinking, and drugs were not Christian-like. See more 07/14/2019 I loved this show, addicting!!! See more Read all reviews
