Geordie Gray The Australian 04/12/2024
All of that is lost in this smug second season, which is thin on drama and overstuffed with bawdy gags and underdeveloped social media talking points (think “situationships” and incels). Go to Full Review

3.5/5
The show doesn’t always nail the balance between the comedy and its more serious aspirations, but by the end it feels just about right. A solid pass, with an A for effort. Go to Full Review
Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya Autostraddle 04/11/2024
In Heartbreak High, characters are often consumed by this impulse for self-possession, desperate to change themselves in the name of love or self-preservation. It’s in the ways these characters flounder and fail that the series succeeds. Go to Full Review
Talecia Vescio Junkee 07/15/2024
With hyper-Australian references to rage, bin chickens, Clothing The Gaps “Honour Country” posters, and a cameo from Sydney’s iconic Danny Lim, Heartbreak High gets it. Go to Full Review

Even when the antics are unlikely, Heartbreak High is always entertaining. But the shift towards emulating its trashier teen counterparts from overseas feels like half a step backwards. Go to Full Review

There are storylines and motivations that feel shoehorned in at the last minute, especially around new characters Rowan and Zoe. These new additions didn’t work for me and felt lazy, while deeper storylines like what Harper is dealing with felt cut down. Go to Full Review

Invincible D Mar 23 I dont remember much from s1, but just speaking of s2, idk how everyone is just bi now but the villain storyline really caught me off guard in the end in a good way. I would've never imagined that the brother was all in his head. See more Gioele D 10/11/2024 La seconda stagione si rivela bella quanto la prima. Ero molto scettico, ma gli episodi sono stati all'altezza delle aspettative. Questa serie è un vero gioiellino. See more Ryan K @ryan_k1 08/08/2024 Watchable high school drama. Season 2 of Heartbreak High introduces three new side characters and removes one from last season. Two of the new characters are one-dimensional, but the other one is involved in the main drama of the season. The three main plots of the season have their moments but are predictable and lack much to compel the viewer to keep watching. The best part of the season is the humanizing of one of the characters from last season. The writing feels a bit different from last season in that the kids sound more like adults than kids. Overall, there are enjoyable parts of Heartbreak High season 2, but it is a disappointment compared to season one. See more Aaliyah 08/07/2024 New characters, new plot twists and new versions of these characters. Again, this show left me hooked and shocked. I am so excited for whats coming in season 3!! See more Dakota D 05/24/2024 Was not ready for the plot twists! Didn't disappoint once again! Cannot wait for Season 3!!! See more lillo p 05/12/2024 F*** the critics review!
