Marti Perkins is a pre-law student at Lancer University in Memphis, home of a powerhouse college football program. When Marti loses her scholarship, she realizes she must rely on her dormant gymnastics ability to earn a spot on the school's cheerleading squad, the Hellcats. When Marti makes the team, she enters a world of camaraderie and backstabbing where sports and academia come together. Among Marti's peers is new roommate Savannah, a peppy Texan.
