Brayden T @RT38813615 3 hrs ago The beginning of season three has honestly been such a disappointment. The animation is gorgeous, but the writing feels like it’s completely lost its direction. Blitzø has finally started showing genuine growth, yet the show seems determined to keep him miserable while Stolas moves from one romantic interest to another. It’s exhausting watching the same relationship drama get dragged out with little meaningful progression. Stolas especially feels so poorly written compared to previous seasons. The pacing is messy and emotional moments lose their intended impact with each episode. I’m all for complicated relationships and angst, but at some point, suffering stops being compelling storytelling. I miss when the characters actually felt consistent. Stolas hasn’t changed much we just get to see what he is like behind closed doors, which I find very unnecessary. The series isn’t entirely unpleasant but the pacing could be improved and it could do with a few less awkward jokes. Buddy we know you are gay, we really don’t need to hear that again every 2 sentences. I am part of the LGBTQIA community and even I see it as excessive. If you hate the show then I encourage you to try to look past the humor and see the characters for who they are but not all shows are for everyone. I'm tired of Helluva Boss always having to be about trauma and abuse. The only subplot I like is Moxxie and Millie's pregnancy- because it's at least somewhat happy; But seriously feels it's just for headlines at this point.
