11/04/2020 Well written story and smooth animation! See more 10/29/2020 Expect the unexpected... for someone who is new to this Kind of Genre : its extraordinarily entertaining. No plot armor, anything can happen. U always fear for the main characters life ! The pacing is good and yet keeps everything slow enough to make u care about the characters and feel the athmosphear of every confrontation. The intromusic is great, the conversations are " kind of shallow " on the surface ... but thats because this anime doesnt base the story on characterdevelopment but rather on Situation- and knowledge- and athmospheardevelopment. Never ever watched an anime like this. Everywhere little hints that climax to a nice new revelation. GIVE THIS ANIME A CHANCE ! I really enjoyed this Masterpiece ! See more 04/12/2020 The animation itself is pretty dope. The plot was strong at the start of season 1, but by the end of it and season 2, it was a snoozefest! Long, awkward, unnecessary pauses between characters in dialog. Police telling villains with guns pointed at them to freeze like 7 times then getting shot. Don't be fooled into thinking this is a superhero/sci-fi anime with cool fighting sequences and displays of supernatural powers; the plotline centers on the development of masks that give people special abilities but you rarely see the masks being used which is what makes this more of a murder mystery anime like Darker Than Black for instance. Darker Than Black arguably has more to offer when it comes to fighting sequences than Hero Mask. If you're looking for an anime of superhumans battling it out, this isn't for you.
