Aaron N. @NorthwestAaron Nov 4 The dialog is atrocious, and full of cliché. Everything is dramatic, and makes zero sense. For example..The boss of the factory worker calls her worker into the office (while he’s in the middle of working) And lambasts him for being late to work saying. “ I have very demanding customers” He stutters “ It won’t happen again..” She accepts his apology and says “Ok you can go home now” Wait..what? He was literally in the middle of a project and yells at him to come into the office immediately, and now all the sudden his shift is done? No cleaning up? What happened to the demanding customers? I had to shut it off after that..I know it doesn’t seem like much but it was the 30th bizarre illogical situation and I’m only 30 min into the first episode..How in Gods name did this show get 3 seasons? The chain smoking lead detective is absolutely dull and depressing ,there's just absolutely nothing about her ,infact everyone in it is boring and depressed, anyway that's enough of about the good points. This could've been a great 4 episode miniseries of they would've left out Huw John's and Alun Pryce's side stories. There were also some dead end sub-branches. For instance, two different visits to Roberts' scrapyard. Agreed, the second visit did yield something re: the 2005 murder, but I also didn't really see the point of introducing that murder in the storyline. Didn't really reveal anything specific that lead to Dylan's capture. Too many loose ends. See more Kelly T @RT01583066 08/18/2023 Awesome series, really enjoyed it. No PC nonsense.
