What to Know

Critics Consensus

Though it skips the occasional beat, High Fidelity's fresh take on a familiar track is as witty as it is emotionally charged, giving a curmudgeonly charming Zoë Kravitz plenty of room to shine.

Even if she wasn’t the lookalike daughter of Lisa Bonet, who played one of John Cusack’s exes in the 2000 film adaptation of Nick Hornby’s novel High Fidelity, Zoë Kravitz would’ve been perfectly cast as Rob. Go to Full Review

...High Fidelity is an update that feels timely while remaining true to much of its source materials' ultimately softhearted optimism. Go to Full Review

Despite looking effortlessly cool, Kravit manages to embody the slacker superfan perfectly; she's both annoyingly self-pitying and relatable (particularly to those of us who have ended relationships on the basis of bad record collections). Go to Full Review

Unfortunately, Hulu opted not to renew this perfect show for a much-needed second season, and months later, I am still furious about their decision. But if nothing else, at least I’ll always have these ten episodes to return to. Go to Full Review

Nalaya C @Nalaya Jan 14 Best combination of depth, humour, incredible music and interesting characters. It is very nuanced. Beautiful to watch / truly a work of art. This show is brilliant and so is Zoe Kravitz. What I love most is that the ending isn't exactly what you'd expect. See more Angelina A @Assorova Oct 26 This show needs a second season! It's unfair to cancel it so early, especially considering the high ratings. See more Gareth v @geewah 06/24/2023 Starts off with so much promise and goes downhill pretty quickly from there. In the end the best thing about this show is the music. See more Anna J 01/24/2023 This was brilliant! Did total justice to the spirit of the original book and was better than being just a hackneyed remake... The characters had real life to them. So was gutted to discover that just as it was springing into life season 2 was cancelled... Come on! Please someone else make the next season, its so worth it! See more 04/17/2022 La serie tiene una selección musical genial y Zoe es adorable y detestable a la vez. See more 02/27/2022 I adored this TV series! I found it while scrolling through options on Disney Plus and thought let's give this ago - It grasped me (music and human interaction) and I found myself looking forward to watching the next episode ... The series provides a cool concept and an opportunity to escape into a different world and also a place which can be relatable at the same time. Completely gutted when I went to watch the next season to find it was cancelled and never made. Let's hope someone picks this up... High Fedility stories need to be told! See more Read all reviews
