Tv Season Info

This season, HIGH MAINTENANCE profiles everyday people whose stories of success, failure, love and loss intersect across New York, while delving deeper into personal life of The Guy, who is spending less time on his iconic bicycle and more time in "Steve RV," a set of wheels gifted to him last season. Featuring an intricate web of memorable returning characters and unforgettable new faces, the new episodes find New Yorkers exploring their relationship with the city, touching on such themes as death, parenthood, sexuality, fantasy, aging and more.

A gentle work of sociology, asking who people -- all sorts of people -- really are, and not harshly judging the answers that it discovers.

Sinclair and Blichfeld's world feels real and lived in - a real show, about a real city.

But despite all the emotional depths the show has reached, there's still something pretty superficial that I'd like to know-what's his name!?

High Maintenance excels at illustrating the appeal and necessity of found families and they do so here with exceeding warmth and care. The episode has a generally slow pace, but it is fully earned.

Simultaneously naturalistic and dreamy, it's like the artsy cousin of "Broad City" that went to film school. In geography and spirit, though, its depiction of New York's Kombucha Belt is much the same.

Audience Reviews for High Maintenance: Season 3

I wanted to like this. I was disappointed since season 2 so I was going to avoid watching it altogether but gave it a try since I was getting HBO to binge watch another show. I tried. Hated it. Disjointed.

Not quite on par with last season, but still TV's most weird and wonderful portrait of New York.
  • Mar 17, 2019
Season 3 moves away from what made the series appealing from before HBO a little more.

so the vet killed a kitten while messed up on mushrooms??..not liking that one...would've been better to see him lose his licence

Not as great as past seasons, but the past two episodes seem to be getting better and bringing the focus on the comedy and truth that the past few seasons were so good at doing.

This use to be one of my favorite shows as well as what I would consider to be one of the best shows on television. I thought the first episode was ok despite the tonal shift, but the rest of this season has been absolutely awful. The writing has gotten hacky and lazy, the connection between the guy and all the new characters is superficial and the connection with the older/reoccurring characters seems forced. The details of the guyâ??s life are either overkill or really donÂ?Â?t seem to fit at all and the flow and beauty of the show are completely lost. I understand that some shifts from season to season are unavoidable, but itÂ?Â?s just become unwatchable. IÂ?Â?m really hoping they can pick it back up next season, it honestly infuriates me to see what this show has become.

This show needs more Latino cast and Latino writers

What happened to the high maintenance I loved? This isnâ??Â?Â?t it.

What happened to this show? I used to enjoy but this took an extremely boring direction. Fail!

What a plummet! It used to be one of my favorite shows, but now it is just a most irAritating display of the most irritating behaviors of the most irritating subclass in america -- the Hipsters. Get over yourselves.
