The series is patently ridiculous, and features just a little too much time following characters on the ground (including Archie Panjabi’s anti-terrorism agent) instead of those in the sky, but Elba can sell the silliest of premises with ease.

Could have been good but all the characters acted far outside of normal human behavior x100. First, the main character handed the gun back was completely illogical. Second, they should have killed the main character x10 times because he was annoying and attacked them. It made no sense to risk going after his family when they could just kill the troublemaker. Third, there is 0% chance the British would not have shot that plane down over the channel. 0.

Pilot attacks co-pilot and open the cockpit door to the terrorist. Seriously? Are you high writers? Even kids would write better than this.

Loved the show! The writing and pacing were spot on. People need to relax about the technical details. It's a thriller, not an aviation documentary. Just enjoy it. Idris Elba was frickin' awesome as always. 10/10 recommend.

Red Eye season 1 was a better TV show about airplane hijacking. Go check it out. Red Eye season 2 is also better.
