Homecoming is a more complex offering in the world of compromised states and it's decision to show its cards until the end is what makes it special. [Full Review in Spanish]

Homecoming is straightforward and completely bingeable; the 10 thirty-minute episodes fly by, always making you want more when the "Directed by Sam Esmail" text pops up at the end.

The show has Hitchcock DNA.

This is Roberts' finest work in years, showcasing not just her toothy-grinned charm, but also the subtle emotional shading she is capable of. Whigham and other supporting cast turn in first-rate performances as well.

Homecoming loads an impressive amount of twisty psychological drama into a half-hour. There are so many hints, cinematic references, clues, red herrings and "easter eggs," it would take multiple viewings to catch them all.

This new series will keep you interested, asking, "What really happened?"
November 21, 2018
The show is good, is what I'm telling you, and Roberts has a major hand in keeping it so consistently satisfying.

It brilliantly captures the essence of the military compound and Heidi's place in it. And look out for a remarkable long tracking shot that begins on the exterior and somehow brings us in via a large fish tank mounted in a wall...
November 13, 2018
A full-beam Julia would have unbalanced this curiously compelling 10-part drama, though it remains precarious and unsettling... Square-hair Julia just adds to the sense that something's not quite right.

This is [Julia Roberts'] first major television role, and I understand why she took it: It allows her to do the two things she does best -- to deploy her killer charm and to bare her teeth against an adversary.
November 12, 2018
With Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail directing, the show has a distinct visual style that sits perfectly with the tense, paranoid mood of the show... Roberts is predictably outstanding as the idealistic Bergman.
November 12, 2018
It is an interesting premise that calls out corporations and politics for putting profit above humanity, but it isn't awe-inspiringly original.

Julia Roberts and Stephen James build a convincing sense of their character's emotional bond, even if not every plot element in their story rings quite true.
November 8, 2018
It's the most gripping series I've watched all year, and it relies on character and humanity for its hooks and twists rather than flashy action or violence.
November 7, 2018
The risk pays off. "Homecoming" lights up the screen as a TV series and provides a quick, thrilling binge.

Tense as it all is, it's ambiguous enough to keep you guessing - you'd expect nothing less from Esmail - and it's exceedingly well cast. Having Sissy Spacek in a small role as Heidi's mother ranks pretty high on the luxury scale.
November 6, 2018
Homecoming is a mystery that relies heavily on the chemistry of the characters, and Roberts works beautifully with her co-stars.

It's Hitchcock for the small-screen, a tight, efficiently told story that doesn't just set up a compelling mystery, it pays it off without resorting to narrative cheats.
November 6, 2018
A slow-burner that is worth the time. It needs a sedate pace to really make you feel the wrongness of the Homecoming facility, where every day is mundane but with an edge of nightmare.

Ostensibly, Homecoming might appear uneventful and slow but it's deliberately and skillfully languid, ratcheting up tension with purpose and ease.
