In fact, last night's episode of Homeland was by far the best of the season, given that every five seconds something enormously exciting happened and we got to see a bunch of evildoers get shot.
What makes all of this work is that it never feels redundant (when it should, and it's gotten close before) or too excessive -- it never feels too big for itself or the world it inhabits.
