Critic Consensus: "Parabiosis" makes a long-overdue effort to pull the various plots of season five together, even though Homeland is still taking too long to bring significant parts of its story into focus.

Critic reviews for Parabiosis
Homeland Season Five has been a complex and scattershot affair, introducing new characters and new power dynamics at every turn. Six episodes in, it's begun to fight the sprawl by narrowing its focus to Carrie, Saul, and Quinn.
Carrie is a lot of things, but a quitter she is not - usually.
Saul got the spotlight in this Homeland, reminding us why Mandy Patinkin is one of the best things about the show.
Questions still remain about the direction of this season, but this tight concentration on a character that desperately need it was a darn smart choice for a show that has alternated between greatness and repetitiveness.
The pieces are all laid out to move forward into the second half of the season.
