Critic Consensus: Homeland finally provides a compelling backstory for Allison's character, though too few narrative pieces snap into place in "All About Allison."

Critic reviews for All About Allison
"All About Allison" spends most of its time walking back those changes and most of the rest reviewing information that was laid out with a lot more finesse in previous episodes.
It's not so much that the moment when everything clicked for our heroine was exciting. It was more a relief.
Miranda Otto's take on Allison was as strong as always and the revelations about how she wound up where she is today were worth the wait.
This reveal did what all great flashback reveals do: made the audience reconsider some of the assumptions they had about a presumably villainous or treacherous character.
At least Carrie has finally figured it out, perhaps a little bit later than would have been optimal, but she got away with her life. So huzzah!
