That's why the Hotwives seems like it could be the lowest form of comedy, making fun of something that is already a parody of itself. However, it's the astute attention to detail and the obvious love of the genre that saves it.

Hotwives has nearly the same tone, style, and feel as Burning Love, making it a wise choice for Hulu to push so aggressively.

I have so few complaints about this show, I'm kind of shocked. Everything works for me, from the always-changing opening to the non sequitur "Coming Up" segments to the over-edited flashback clips.

Much like a low-budget reality show, Hotwives is a low-budget parody; even the scenes' movement from funny to awkward and back to funny could be seen as a faithful adaptation of the unscripted genre.

If you love the comedy stylings of Burnett, Gilda Radner and Kristen Wiig, you will want to visit Hotwives.

Writers Dannah Phirman and Danielle Schneider clearly know the source material they're mocking and do a great job of getting laughs out of the absurdities of the Real Housewives shows.
