House of David seems to take its appeal for granted: the show is based on one of the most famous stories ever told, and therefore has no need to explain what’s going on or why we should care. In reality, the opposite is true. Go to Full Review

Mostly, I’m curious to see how the series follows the template that it’s setting for itself... The shepherd’s story gets a lot more earthbound after this. House of David may have to pad its story even more to keep the fantasy alive. Go to Full Review

While House Of David is a good looking series with good performances, none of the characters are made more interesting than how they’re depicted in the Bible. Go to Full Review

Jess L @Jess1028 2d Superb. God is good then, now and forever! See more Dalton M @Daltee Feb 14 Up to 95% Biblically accurate, it's a very nice series to watch See more yohan j @Brighterdaysahead Feb 1 This is my first Bible-inspired series. I don't read the Bible much, but l've heard the stories of David, and I think this adaptation captures the characters really well for their historical time. It stirs up a ton of emotions and stays engaging throughout-no boredom here. The characters come across as authentic and relatable; they're not exaggerated beyond what feels normal for people in that era, which makes it easy to connect with the ancient world.
