We still don't feel like we're watching people we have any real understanding of. They're all character types spitting out rapid-fire dialogue that tends to reinforce their type without letting us know anything else about them.
The serialized aspect of the story saved this week's episode but that time devoted to it made the procedural part weaker. Going forward, I hope there is more of a balance between the two or that Lila and Sam's murders become the only focus.
Okay, so this wasn't my favorite episode but there was still a lot to like.
All in all, a solid effort, moving the plot forward slowly but surely. But we want to get to the juice already.
I've come to really enjoy the comedy between Asher, Michaela, and Connor, particularly when they're nonessential to the episode.
Honestly, this episode really made me miss last week's, which I very openly wasn't a fan of.
