This is absolute chaos and messy family drama. It's fascinating.

Absolutely a must see, it was funny, sad, interestingly culture focused.....I may even visit Africa. I loved the humane aspects, and biases up front. The strangeness and the truly understandable confused look of the hotel manager. Everybody's mother, family, and love affairs can be seen in this show. Hope there is more!!!!!

My only complaint about this show is how short it was. It didn't feel complete and it ended on a cliffhanger that felt a bit premature for a first season. With that said, it's a good sign that I cared enough about the characters to want for more. The ne'er do well heroine is deeply flawed and is widely ostracized for her many mess-ups. A comedy of errors that nearly ruins her sister's wedding is the wake-up call that she needs to change. This central setup parallels nicely with a number of unfolding subplots: the same side characters who criticize her messy life have big secrets and messes of their own--secrets that are poised to come out.

Please Please Please renew for a season 2!!!! I absolutely love Tumi and the Family!! To give us only 3 episodes is either very cruel or very brilliant, because WE WANT MORE!!! This stellar cast introduces for many of us, new faces that you'll want to become familiar with, as they quickly have you feeling engaged and endeared with their comedic and heartwarming performances!! I absolutely loved the proud and beautiful cultural representation of Melanin familial, hetero, queer and self, LOVE and ACCEPTANCE!!! It is a small glimpse into a place of people, often incorrectly stereotyped and thought completely foreign and unknown, only to delightfully discover you feel right at home! 💜💙♥️🔥🔥

I stumbled on this and now that I know it's made by the same people that make Seriously Single, it all makes sense. What a joy! What a pleasure! The best Netflix Original to come out of Africa!!! The cast, the storyline and the music!
