[The season 2 opener] had everything in it that hooked me in the first season while showing lots of promise for the season to come. Bring it on!

Mark Valley, Chi McBride, and Jackie Earle Haley are all in top form, their chemistry as potent as ever.

Not that Mark Valley's hotness couldn't fill an entire show, but the team's estrogen injections should prove to attract a few more eyeballs to this steadily improving comic-based series.

"Human Target" seems to be taking itself more seriously in season two, trying to add the emotional weight that might have kept it from becoming a water-cooler hit last season.

The finale was very fitting, as it encapsulated everything I thought was good and bad about season 2...The action set pieces were, again, fantastic and the performances by the actors were also pretty much perfect.

The interplay of the sexes has been used to better effect on other action vehicles-including FX's animated Archer-but the actresses lighten the tone, adding zip to a show that thrives on speed.

Human Target is a show that burns bright because it never aims to be more than what it is.
November 17, 2010
Their sophomore season of Human Target is at its best when it's allowed to skip the exposition and get straight to the over-the-top, comic book-y action scenes.

But Human Target is still Human Target. If you enjoyed the show last year, you will now.
November 17, 2010
Human Target will never be mistaken for a great, complex or provocative show, but it does provide a consistently fun hour of action.

The action scenes remain strikingly choreographed and the bad guys continue to be very, very bad and the good guys, er, conflicted.

The second season premiere is a stronger hour than the show's pilot that aired in January with more character definition and lighter moments.
