Renowned bar and nightclub consultant Jon Taffer, the star of Spike TV's highly rated series "Bar Rescue," tries to save failing restaurants in "Hungry Investors." He's joined by celebrity chef and author John Besh and former "Top Chef" fan favorite Tiffany Derry to find "diamond in the rough" eateries that are struggling and prop them up with a significant cash investment. In each hourlong episode, two similar restaurants in the same city are pitted against each other in a competition that tests the day-to-day operation and the owners' abilities. The owners of the establishment that best heeds the investors' advice and makes the most improvement earn a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to save their business.
