Aye E @RT43717499 Aug 6 It was shocking but more nuanced and sensitive than I expected. Certainly there are some details that could've been followed up on, but the heart of this was the court case and the main facts that could affect the outcome. So that focus kept it from being drawn out by going over minutiae. It was really compelling and I went back and forth on what my impression of the case was, but I was really satisfied with the outcome. Although, they could've spent more time explaining the effects of neglect, isolation, and other forms of abuse to a child and adolescent and how it can effect them their whole life to help paint a fuller picture of the psychological state he was in and his mental capacity and understanding of the world and his options in front of him. And why cops should NOT ask a kid if they are being abused in front of their abuser, or security cameras!! See more farah r @Farah 09/23/2022 Netflix's latest documentary is an interesting one that kept me thoroughly invested, at least until the ending sort of spoiled it. I Just Killed My Dad explored the horrors of what goes on behind closed doors by telling a heartbreaking true story of abuse and conviction.
