A bloodless slasher that fails to congeal, I Know What You Did Last Summer hacks at its killer cast with plot holes and unsatisfying twists.

The performances are patchy, the writing is flat and the pacing is sluggish. Go to Full Review

There's no fun to be found in this glossy yet charmless reboot, which takes a swing at bringing the slasher film to the TikTok age and misses by miles. Go to Full Review

I Know What You Did Last Summer is my first real brush with classic horror, and it's also the first time I've ever fallen asleep watching someone's head get chopped off. Go to Full Review

This eight-part television series takes after its cinematic predecessor, of course, however, in combination with the gruesome stalking is a deeper look into the minds of the guilty party. Go to Full Review

NASHVILLE I @Nshvlleindie Jul 29 DO NOT WATCH. Truly a paper thin cast that look and feel like Hollister mannequins. The writing's lazy with absolutely no originality or imagination for suspense. It's been terrible for years but this heap is getting some play for the movie's reboot. See more James B @James_B 12/24/2024 While It can be boring and difficult to follow it is an interesting series but the ending will make you say why. See more JJ 09/19/2024 "I Know What You Did Last Summer" brings a fresh and modern take on the classic slasher, delivering a captivating mix of suspense, drama, and unexpected twists. The series masterfully blends the core mystery of the original while adding depth to its characters and exploring darker, more complex themes. One of the show's greatest strengths is its ability to stand on its own, without being too tied to the 1997 film. Fans of the original will appreciate the nods, but the new storyline and character dynamics make it compelling for newcomers and returning fans alike. The series isn't afraid to take risks, with a more intricate plot and shocking moments that keep you guessing. It dives deeper into the psychological effects of guilt, grief, and the lengths people will go to protect their secrets. The cinematography and pacing are excellent, making each episode a thrilling watch. If you're looking for a well-crafted, suspenseful show that pays homage to its roots while boldly forging its own path, I Know What You Did Last Summer delivers. Don’t compare it too much to the film — the series deserves to be appreciated for the unique and thrilling experience it offers. See more Jules N 01/21/2024 La fin gâche tout le potentiel que la série avait réussi obtenir tout au long des épisodes. Le principe du premier film n'est pas du tout respecté et c'est dommage See more Virus S 12/23/2023 I was actually intrigued where this story was going. It has all the tropes of a slasher film, but manages to play with audience expectations a bit. It devolves into a self-indulgent disaster as it seems to relish in bending logic in order to deliver plot twists. I'm not even joking - in the closing credits, there's an epilogue, fourth-wall-breaking monologue where a character just spells out the ending. You know your writing is bad when there's this afterthought that maybe the denouement isn't coherent - let's have our last effort be exposition. This show's greatest achievement is epic squandering of potential. See more Read all reviews
