In the second season of "In Plain Sight," things get personal for U.S. Marshal Mary Shannon (Mary McCormack), whose job protecting and relocating federal witnesses is complicated by her family's troubles. Meanwhile, her mom Jinx (Lesley Ann Warren) faces up to her day in court and her sister Brandi (Nichole Hiltz) meets Peter Alpert (Joshua Malina), a man who has several surprises in store. Mary's cases include helping a marijuana expert who must use the drug when testifying, protecting a witness trapped in a building from his former partner and investigating into the rookie mistakes of her boss Stan (Paul Ben-Victor) that come back to haunt him.
