In Treatment continues to be engrossing, less like a TV show than a theatrical performance. It offers the chance to be a fly on the wall at a series of therapy sessions, moments that are just like life, only more so.

It is still very superior TV, as the central performances are mesmerising, and the scripts tight enough to enable you to suspend disbelief. It's also a real treat to find a programme that dares to put dialogue before action.
