Recently released inmates reenter society and move in with people who are welcoming them into their homes; this practice has been the subject of reentry programs aimed at stopping recidivism; America has one of the world's highest recidivism rates with approximately 76% of released prisoners being arrested again after five years; one of the most significant factors in reducing recidivism rates is access to housing; both the former inmates and their respective roommates enter this new living arrangement with their own baggage; the opportunities and the challenges are complex as they each face scrutiny from friends and family questioning their motives.

Inmate To Rommate seems to be less concerned with examining how much better returning citizens fare when they have place to go and some structure in their lives and more concerned with conflict and confrontation. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

See more four c @RT56712873 09/26/2022 Watching so far, the show is more soap opera than anything else. We see some very immature, selfish parolees who refuse to do anything other than use the people who have offered them a place to live and help in reintegration into society. We don't see their parole officers or even get an idea of whether they're doing anything other than freeloading. I'm on episode 5 and it's wearing a bit thin. See more Read all reviews
