Instead of focusing on the killer's identity, I'd far rather watch the dynamic between Sally, Sam and his wildly insecure new fiancée, Karen (Priyanga Burford).

Innocent season two was conceived of long before the coronavirus pandemic, but the themes of absence from loved ones, and absence from the natural world, could not be more relevant now.

Believable, multi-layered characters, and plenty of them, won the day as the story played out convincingly over four nights.
