[C]lickbait title disappointment aside, the real Inside Bill's Brain is still pretty good.

Sep 30, 2019 | Full Review…

Despite some of the docuseries' eye-rolling overpraise, Inside Bill's Brain is about as close a look at Bill Gates anyone has gotten, so it's a win in our book.

Sep 20, 2019 | Full Review…

The goal of Inside Bill's Brain is not to entertain the audience, but to justify Gates' wealth and the way he spends it.

Sep 19, 2019 | Rating: 1/5 | Full Review…

Inside Bill's Brain often feels more superficial than it actually is because it switches topics so freely.

We're walked through the tech founder and humanitarian's personal history in a manner that grows stultifying the more praise gets ladled on.

The series is smoothly edited by Adrienne Gits and Brad Grossman, and animated sequences - which have become something of a staple of documentary films - are deftly integrated.

Too often the result of wealth is selfishness, arrogance, and waste. The series presents a welcome alternative of progress in caring for humanity. So what, if Bill Gates has made mistakes, or sometimes alienated people? We are all have faults. I think more of us, wealthy or not, could get behind efforts and successes in these areas that affect humanity. Could the purpose of the series be to inspire other wealthy people to become involved in these areas, and not just to "praise Bill Gates"? Sometimes those who obtain great success truly want to give back. For example, I volunteer my time in ecological restoration, because I have more time than money to give. A gentleman in the Chicago area, where I volunteer, once saw me coming out of the woods in dirty garb at the end of an exhausting volunteer day and stopped his car to see if I was okay. Yes, I was, and I joyously told him what I and other volunteers are doing. It turned out that he was inspired to follow up and eventually fund our efforts substantially. He had humble beginnings, and after obtaining great success in building a business, he donates anonymously to many causes in order to give back. I see the Bill Gates story as a larger global story in the same vein. We can drop the cynicism sometimes and celebrate that these generous people exist. This series celebrates Bill Gates' generosity to humanity, and I am fine with that.

Bill Gates' most remarkable achievement, that through his efforts to stop polio, cases dropped from 350,000 in 1988 to 38 in 2018, is presented in this Netflix series as a loser. He could have squandered his money in getting a building at Harvard named for him, or trying to get some flake elected President. A brilliant mind, ruthless at times, made computers useful to masses. And still, changed lives for the poor without resources. Netflix should have done. Better jobs paying him his due.

This is a must see! not only is it about Bill Gates but it is about the worlds leading issues and how he (but not alone) is trying to solve these issues and it is so heart warming to watch him do what he does!

A tad sloppy, but the series ultimately succeeds in focusing on Bill Gates' recent achievements while looking briefly into his past.

Excellent docu-series about Gate' evolutionary rise to the tech mogul and philanthropist he is today.

Fascinating look at how Bill Gates tackles some of the world's most pressing social problems. Any takeaways or lessons? Little to learn because Bill Gates is an alien and therefore not replicable.
