Inside No. 9 remains a masterpiece of nearly flawless capsules that all play with format and rules in different, boundary-pushing ways. Go to Full Review
Gabriel Tate Daily Telegraph (UK) 10/16/2018
Shearsmith can't help looking shifty in most of his roles - but the writing and performances were so engaging that it hardly mattered. This was inventive, deliciously wicked and utterly characteristic of its creators. Go to Full Review
Frances Taylor Radio Times 10/17/2018
Comedy turns from Jack Whitehall, Julie Hesmondhalgh and Mark Benton really inject the humour into this episode set inside a sleeper carriage and make it undoubtedly one of the most laugh-out-loud episodes of Inside No 9. Go to Full Review

Like reopening the curtains of an old theatre that once brought vibrant characters to life for a few hours at a time to audiences wanting to be taken in and led somewhere unexpected. Go to Full Review

Emma P @Emmywemmy Dec 16 This episode is epic in just about every way imaginable and for the life of me, I cannot watch this in full without bursting into tears and that's saying something as I never cry. when she's visited by her deceased dad it's frightfully sad and the ending around the Christmas dinner table with the photo album had me blubbing like a baby. The legendary Michelle Dotrice is in this too so you know this is going to be something special. It has to be said Sheridan Smith nailed this role, it really highlighted her true talent as an actor and she does this with perfection and finesse, you can't help but like and sympathize with her throughout. The best episode of no 9 and two of the remarkable League of gentlemen at their very best.Beautifully, impeccably written and resonates with the fears and dreads of most of us which makes this so damn clever. If it doesn't break your heart something's gone awry within. Just gorgeous. See more 11/19/2021 Continuing to deliver after the first "Inside No.9" once again pulls no punches in it's second season as the hits keep coming in the grander stories told by the team once again. See more 07/06/2021 Every season is brilliantly written, acted, and set. Each tale is a twisted mix of comedy, suspense, and horror. Characters from their other series, Psychoville, appear throughout the series. Steve and Reece have imaginations that rival Rod Serling and play each of their roles with 100% dedication and creativity. Each season's tale is exceptional, and a must see if you are into the macabre. See more 03/13/2021 This is am amazing season of an awesome tv show. My favourite episode is "La Couchette", but of course this season has the most acclaimed episode of the show - "The 12 days of Christine". But seriously every episode is a masterpiece. It's funny, heartbreaking, dark, unsettling, poignant, surprising, twisty! The writers/actors Pemberton and Shearsmith are brilliant every time! This show is a must-see! See more 05/04/2020 Pemberton and Shearsmith speaking German. See more 01/22/2020 Though one episode misses only ever so slightly, this is another wonderful series of the hit comedy written by two genuine British legends. I hope this never ends.
