At just six episodes, this is a small-scale Marvel venture, leaning towards an adolescent audience, that’s not tied to previous stories but does possess a fair measure of galvanising energy. Go to Full Review

Ironheart fares better with the human element of the story. Though perhaps human isn’t the right word, given that the series’ most rewarding scenes revolve around Riri’s slightly uncanny friendship with Natalie... Go to Full Review

A likeable series with a cracking lead. It may not rock your world, but you also won’t regret time spent in Riri Williams’ company. Go to Full Review

Ironheart overall feels a little bit underwhelming. Putting everything together, I enjoyed the buildup, the lead, and I loved exploring more of Riri's character, But towards the end the narrative structure fell short and failed to grab me. Go to Full Review

Ironheart has some interesting ideas and themes, and a killer soundtrack, but in the end, it’s another mediocre Marvel. Go to Full Review

Drake S @TohoGojibetterthanLegendaryGoji Jul 22 Who tf thought of this. The main character seems to push Tony Stark, a beloved character's fame and legacy down in order to push herself up though falling short of making me feel sympathetic of her at all. I feel that we did not need a replacement of iron man let alone someone who says they are smart if not smarter than Stark even when they are bashing their model off of Stark's original blueprints that he made in "a cave with a box of scraps" while being held hostage. Overall I feel like this show has more of an attempt to replace Ironman and be better than him than an attempt to continue and respect Stark's legacy See more diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 17 The series attempts to elevate Riri Williams's intellect by diminishing Tony Stark's genius. By claiming that Stark "was nothing without money," the script completely ignores the hero's backstory—specifically how he built his first suit of armor in a cave with absolutely no resources. Furthermore, the plot fails Riri herself: it overlooks the fact that she had access to Wakandan technology in previous films, forcing a nonsensical detour to the black market. To top it off, the tone suffers from the same tired, clichéd jokes typical of Disney+ productions. See more R N @RT99870688 Jul 13 Another waste of money, attempt at social engineering the woke masses... Bad writing, cringe acting...etc, the usual... Waste of my time... See more Lincoln D @RT22803408 Jul 12 Honestly, don't waste your time. See more Ben W @Benjamin7 Jul 7 Okay, I'm writing this review as an actual marvel fan and fan of movies in general. I did not have high hopes for this show. When Iron Heart came out as a comic book character, I was a little mad to say the least, because I couldn't believe that marvel had gotten so lazy that they just changed their most popular male characters into females just to earn money. This show does not have that problem. This genuinely did not feel like a cash grab to me, it felt super unique and personal. Dominique Thorne at times over acts, but her performance of paranoia and panic attacks is top notch acting. There is a lot of progressive casting, but most of the choices actually served the story instead of just shoehorning in political agendas. Near the end of the show, I was genuinely interested in most of the characters, and that was earned. The first couple of episodes are a little meh, but once it gets its footing it's great, and in my opinion, it really stuck the landing and left me wanting more. See more J B @RT06665058 Jul 5 Underwhelming and trashes a fan favorite character that built the franchise and is the name sake of the character. Hopefully this is the last we see of this show and character. See more Read all reviews
