Harmon "Harm" Rabb Jr. is a former pilot turned lawyer working for the military's JAG (Judge Advocate General) division, the elite legal wing of officers that prosecutes and defends those accused of military-related crimes. He works closely with Lt. Col. Saraj Mackenzie, and together they do what needs to be done to find the truth. After an initial season on NBC, which canceled the show, "JAG" moved to CBS, where it saw success for another nine seasons.

The exploits of a Navy lawyer who walks around as if he's balancing a chafing dish on his head prove to be yawnable and predictable. Go to Full Review

Comparisons to Top Gun are inevitable, but NBC's JAG flies at lower and more predictable altitudes. This ''Midlevel Gun'' fires mostly blanks. Go to Full Review

JAG is better than its moniker: a neat melding of character, mystery, and big, glossy action. Go to Full Review

This is an old scow of a series, hefty and handsome but listing toward tedium. Go to Full Review

Dark A 05/21/2024 The first season is pretty good if you move beyond the pilot episode, which may seem a little vague and overloaded with unnecessary scenes. The series differs from the usual detective series in its military theme and creative approach to investigations. Lieutenant Harmon Rebb often comes up with non-standard investigative methods that help him solve the most complex and complicated cases. The only downside is that the series looks a little outdated after a quarter of a century, but if you like the atmosphere of the 90s and old TV shows, you will definitely like it.
