Luckily for Dan, though, he can't see into the future. Jan 9, 2019 | Rating: C | Full Review… Ed Bark Uncle Barky Top Critic Based on the pilot's terrific ending, there's reason to believe that clever plotting might overcome the show's more generic elements. But after more of the same in the second episode, I'm putting this one on a short leash. Jan 9, 2019 | Rating: B- | Full Review… Scott Tobias AV Club Top Critic An overly complicated pilot had me feeling that I, too, would like to time-travel, if not actually fast-forward, but a more straightforward second episode made me decide not to cancel my subscription just yet. Jan 8, 2019 | Full Review… Ellen Gray Philadelphia Inquirer Top Critic "Journeyman" itself still needs to convince us why we should come along on the trip. Jan 8, 2019 | Full Review… David Hinckley New York Daily News Top Critic With its pleasing San Francisco locales and McKidd's sympathetic performance, "Journeyman" is entertaining enough. Jan 8, 2019 | Full Review… Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe Top Critic Being derivative isn't a sin in and of itself -- imitation is the sincerest form of television, after all -- but "Journeyman" doesn't do anything especially interesting with its time-twisting premise. Jan 8, 2019 | Full Review… Alan Sepinwall Newark Star-Ledger Top Critic I'm very saddened that this show had to end, but I'm happy that the series ended in a quality way with it's head held high. Jan 11, 2019 | Full Review… Vic Holtreman ScreenRant Not only does the pilot have a really strong ending, but there's definitely a lot of potential for this show to have a future. Jan 9, 2019 | Rating: 3/5 | Full Review… Kelly West CinemaBlend What a criminal waste of time. Jan 9, 2019 | Full Review… Mark A. Perigard Boston Herald It's a strange experience to see the genesis of a new and fascinating world, only to realize you'll never see it blossom. Jan 9, 2019 | Rating: 8.5/10 | Full Review… Chris Carabott IGN Movies A heroic tale has to have tension; an hour of this show merely depresses, regardless of the outcome. Jan 9, 2019 | Full Review… Melanie McFarland Seattle Post-Intelligencer Despite cancellation, Journeyman upped the ante this week with new characters, and more intriguing plot twists.
