Dec 28, 2023 Full Review Alexandra MacAaron Women's Voices for Change You can choose to watch Julia for its splendid ensemble cast, terrific leading lady, evocative art direction, or for all the recipes, both inspirational and aspirational. Regardless, you’ll find something to savor. Bon appétit! Rated: 9.5/10 Aug 24, 2022 Full Review Cris Kennedy The Canberra Times (Australia) The writing across the series is clever, with many peripheral characters enjoying a depth to their development, including Brittany Bradford's African American producer fighting to have her ideas recognised. James B Awesome ! Great storyline with superb acting. It's not just the superstar Sarah Lancashire that delivers stellar performance. Loved it and can't wait to see how this develops. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/24 Full Review Rose R There is nothing bad about this show!! Sarah Lancashire portrays Julia brilliantly. Wonderful cast, wonderful writing, wonderful costumes, scenery... 💞 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Love L Lancanshire made this show so much fun to watch! I can't explain exactly why I loved it but you'll have to see it to understand. Very sad to see it go! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/11/24 Full Review Lillian M I loved it from the first minute of the first episode. The quality shines through as does the cast. It's captivating in every way…cast, subject and story line, locations. Just love it' Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Linda C This show is warm, funny, informative, entertaining, and a good historical reminder of the times and culture. I was a child when the actual show was on, so I didn't understand the nuance and humor, at the time. This show and the entire cast is so incredibly good that I have binged through nearly the entire 2 seasons and have had to ration out the final 3 episodes, as I will miss watching every day. It makes me smile (and tear up on occasion) and I wait with bated breath for more seasons!!! Thank you to all involved for such a great show! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/19/23 Full Review Lurleen B It comes off as a caricature of Julia Childs. Aside from the many inaccuracies Sara Lancaster makes Julia seem very insecure and the accent is no where near close to Julia's. The constantly befuddled expression, the hair and Julia was actually quite slim. While the show is entertaining it is not a realistic portrayal of Julia Child.
