The second season truly reckoned with the consequences of the characters' actions.

Justified nails the tone and prickly characterizations you expect from a crime drama set in the sun-baked American countryside.

While Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins play their cat and mouse game with practiced skill, it's the two new women of Justified's second season that really shine.
August 25, 2014
In season two, Justified really found its footing, especially as it moved away from a strict hero story for Timothy Olyphant's Raylan and toward a more ensemble vibe, and introduced one of the best villainesses in recent memory.

If you believe in great American character acting then this is a show you shouldn't miss as no one is currently doing it better.

This tale of deputy US Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) has proved to be compelling, complex without being too showy, witty, tense, romantic and stylish. It ticks as many boxes as you'd ever hope a TV show to tick.
June 24, 2014
Raylan Givens continues to exemplify the perfect modern day cowboy; the mental state of Boyd Crowder is as beautifully ambiguous as ever before and every character swimming between their dueling existences make everything perfectly fall into place.

Justified keeps on justifying - and demanding - our viewership.

Justified pretty much looks like a home run.

Justified's rich vein of gallows humor, convincing sense of place, and twisty hillbilly-noir narratives are all selling points, but it's Olyphant's devilish grin that seals the deal.

Justified is at its most engrossing when the spare dialogue erupts with dark comedic force.

Its unassuming, quaint, Kentucky Fried Storytelling hits on all cylinders.

This season has shown a richness and depth beyond anything in season one
February 9, 2011
Justified has made a habit of absorbing first-rate character actors, and the casting here is gob-smackingly brilliant.

This well-crafted show explores grand themes like regret, redemption and self-doubt, but one of its many strengths is that it touches on those ideas with a light hand.
February 9, 2011
The new season looks like it'll be more of the same, and I'm certainly not complaining, because the new villains are pretty dope (pun intended).
February 9, 2011
One of the best shows on TV is back and looks likely that it could get even better.
