It's unique, bordering on indescribable in tone and meaning, and transfixing in an unsettling way. Go to Full Review

It certainly won't be for everyone, but if you're in the mood for a boundary-pushing mid-flight experience without ever leaving the ground, this might be your ticket. Go to Full Review

eric l @RT98126062 02/21/2022 I liked this one-off show very much. It was often tough to take as Julie goes through her outsized stages of grief, but definitely worth it. One thing that stood out for me was Julie's relationship with her family. It's a cliche that teen children of vastly wealthy parents are out-of-control jerks and that their parents are egotistical narcissists (see Succession, for instance). However, here Julie's parents and brother love her and she loves them, which makes their sudden demise all the more heartbreaking and sets up Julie's long road from being death-obsessed to... well, no spoilers here! But I will say Marie Reuther's turn as Julie is a spectacular, star-making performance. See more Kathleen H @kaybenet 02/20/2022 Strong performances and affecting, and yet this is one more portrayal of life experience from a rich white person's perspective (think "White Lotus"). Julie is grieving an unimaginable loss, yes, though few in her situation would have the means to react as she does, flinging herself around the world nonstop in hopes of dying in a plane crash. She launches herself headlong into others' lives, leaving when she cannot keep up her facade. Her "sorry" to those she's leaving - and hurting - feels perfunctory. Her grief makes her selfish, but will she one day reflect back on those she hurt and feel any remorse? I doubt it. Such a great actress, Beautiful visuals as expected from HBO and also some great writing and dialogue! It also has a great sense of how it feels to lose someone you love. Definitely one of the best new series out there right now! See more 12/03/2021 Binge watched episodes 1-6. It's unsettling and somehow comforting at the same time. Julie is brilliantly realized. Hoping there's more. See more Read all reviews
