Killing Eve's triumph lies in Waller-Bridge's deft ability to realise two genuinely transgressive and multifaceted roles for women.

Comer's performance as Villanelle is one of the best on current TV. It's a profoundly physical performance, built on subtle facial changes, eye movements, and posture.

It's really interesting... Just psychotic.

In Killing Eve, all of the female characters are complex, which is unusual for an espionage thriller, and the entire show is masterfully executed and highly stylized.

Season 1 was everything that I didn't know that I wanted it to be with compelling performances by Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, and a plot that left much to be uncovered in the coming seasons.

It has all the international glamour of a Bond movie, while also making us laugh with hyper-normal scenes, like Eve and her husband discussing if they're "too knackered" for sex, or MI5 staff being horribly hungover.

With only four episodes aired and pulling intelligence, humor, tension and rhythm, 'Killing Eve' already claims a spot amongst the best series of the year. Yes, it's only May and we're already like this. [Full Review in Spanish]

It is a world where men exists, but their agency and motivations matter little. It's a world where women are not only the danger, but foil, sometimes to each other.

If the dark humor wasn't enough, the intense focus on the psyches of two very different women certainly upped the ante by adding a worthy twist to a fairly well-trod bit of genre ground.

Jumps back and forth between Eve's quotidian bureaucrat's job and Villanelle's jet-setting murder-fun lifestyle... Both sides are a blast to watch.
September 21, 2018
What makes Killing Eve so good, though, is Waller-Bridge's instinctive feel for a very human sort of comedy.

This is a totally different kind of black comedy, ably assisted by the deadpan delivery of Sandra Oh as Eve.

Despite the stylized, heightened nature of the show, it still feels terribly real.
May 3, 2018
Killing Eve is hilarious and truthful, even as it moves within a tried-and-true TV formula.
April 6, 2018
The tension of Killing Eve's globetrotting machinations is only rivaled by watching our heroine and antiheroine becoming increasingly fixated on each other.
April 6, 2018
Killing Eve is unlike any other spy drama you've seen and that's why it's so excellent. It does away with the conventions of the genre
April 4, 2018
The series combines a dry comedy's affection for the mundane with the slick look and tone of a psychosexual thriller.

September 4, 2018
Despite all the bloodletting, there's a jaunty tone to Killing Eve that's very winning, along with a fondness for quirky characters.
June 15, 2018
It's a surprisingly fresh, taut and entertaining take on a thoroughly durable genre.
April 9, 2018
But dammit, it is fun - an addictive and surprisingly witty thriller powered by two remarkable female performances, and a welcome counterbalance to dour, moody British crime dramas like Luther and The Fall.
