Unfortunately, [Killing It] is no Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It doesn’t have the snap, crackle and pop in the dialogue, the density of gags, the brilliantly drawn characters or the magic casting. Go to Full Review

Tossing out society’s expectation of kindness, camaraderie, and citizenship is a dark path that also creates narrative possibility, and Killing It slithers steadily upon it. Go to Full Review
Angie Han The Hollywood Reporter 04/14/2022
Killing It‘s comedy only rarely rises to laugh-out-loud levels of hilarity, but the odd-couple dynamic between Jillian and Craig makes for a breezy ride. Go to Full Review

It’s very funny, ticking all the boxes of snappy wordplay, violent humour and a bizarro storyline that can get surprisingly heartfelt. Go to Full Review

Even though the series is an American production, it feels a lot like the Australian and New Zealand films and TV shows I’ve seen, which means the humor is a lot more laid back and subtle. Go to Full Review

Killing It isn’t exactly reinventing the wheel -- the indignities of poverty are not new to the medium -- but in addition to being generally funny, increasingly absurd, and consistently entertaining, it’s an incisive satire about capitalism. Go to Full Review

Travis B Jul 30 Killing It is exactly the kind of fresh, offbeat comedy television desperately needs right now. In a landscape oversaturated with reboots, sequels, and formulaic content, this show stands out for being bold, weird, and genuinely funny. It takes a wild premise—snake hunting for profit—and turns it into a smart, satirical look at the American dream, hustle culture, and economic survival, all while delivering consistent laughs. Craig Robinson leads the charge with his signature charm, backed by a strong supporting cast that knows how to balance absurdity with heart. The writing is sharp, the characters are quirky without being one-note, and the humor never feels recycled. This is the kind of original, risk-taking storytelling that should be driving the future of TV—not another tired reboot. If you're tired of seeing the same shows repackaged over and over, Killing It is a breath of fresh air. See more Sheila W 01/22/2025 I'm in the middle of season 1 and am really enjoying it. It's a unique premise, amusing and involving. It's more of an on-going chuckle than laugh out loud comedy - which I Iike. I'm fond of the characters and the really appreciate social commentary. Especially because the financial predicaments are very common realities for ordinary Floridians. I'd like to see more of some characters with limited roles though. (I liked Silas a lot, for instance. I understand why the writers killed him off but I wish they'd been more imaginative so he could've had a recurring role.) See more Heather D @deepsters 11/08/2023 Hilarious and extremely well written and well executed show. I was very pleasantly surprised by this show. See more J a 11/02/2023 Glad the RT score on this is what it deserves, this is an amazing series, such clean writing and brilliant execution. Solid show, Craig Robinson you always knew could carry any show, but this is the perfect balance of comedy and human relationship. The funnys with the feelings. Claudia O'Doherty is amazing, and her performance is honestly one of the main reasons the show works. She's the other half of the heart that makes the world make sense, and loveable. Very worthy for any collection of shows. See more Cyrus B 10/14/2023 Utter waste of time. Poorly written. I expected better. Simple minded, talentless, rough draft, single take project. See more Vux N 08/26/2023 I didn't want this show to end. I love everything about it. All the characters are killing it. Please give me a season 2—such a fun original and, honestly, just a straight-up addictive show. The primary and supporting cast are so fantastic in this show and have such great chemistry that it all felt natural yet wild and was hilarious. I don't know how famous Peacock is, but I got it for Chucky, which was also fantastic but got moved to another platform, but then I saw Twisted Metal was coming, so I kept it, and now I'll. If you say a season 2 of this is coming, I'll keep it again. Killing it, A reason to get and keep Peacock IMO. See more Read all reviews
