The many offbeat and eccentric characters created by Nick Kroll are showcased in this sketch comedy/pop culture series. Kroll, who has starred in his own Comedy Central stand-up specials as well as appeared in sitcoms "The League," "Parks and Recreation" and "Childrens Hospital," among others, performs alongside guest actors and comedians -- a roster that includes Fred Armisen, Tess Broussard, Jon Daly, Kathryn Hahn, Ed Helms, Rob Huebel and Chelsea Peretti -- in each "Kroll Show" episode, and viewers can expect Kroll's irreverent take on pop culture topics like the Internet, pro sports, nightlife and television.

This new hit-or-miss sketch series is "League" comedian Nick Kroll's own "Portlandia," except he's focused more on stupid people from around the world, not the good folks of the Pacific Northwest. Go to Full Review

Kroll could have rested on his laurels and still turned in a halfway decent sketch series. But Kroll Show resists such laziness, establishing itself as both of a piece with its creators' past work and its own entity. Go to Full Review
Brian Lowry Variety 05/06/2020
It's a tiresome affair, primarily consisting of stale reality TV and commercial spoofs. Mostly, it feels like a show aimed at people who already watch way too much TV. Go to Full Review

Kroll Show works often enough to make a name for itself among young males in particular. Men of a certain age might be more resistant, but still susceptible. Go to Full Review

What makes this show a true success is Kroll himself, who molds himself into lively, believable, and memorable characters who are simply fun to watch. Go to Full Review

04/10/2015 Kroll Show is a sketch comedy comprised of characters created by Nick Kroll (writer for Chappelle’s Show and Human Giant). Every sketch is a mock reality or television show such as “Wheels Ontario” featuring a confused Canadian teen in a wheelchair-based high school or PubLIZity staring Kroll in perfect “valley girl” drag. While the sketches don’t push the lines like Chappelle’s Show, some of the lines are so goofy that they borderline comic genius such as “Pretty” Liz’s Niece Denise or spoof reality show ‘PAWNsylvania’. Along with its ability to stay consistent throughout each season– often connecting the thematic episodes– Kroll Show delivers a riot of unique sketches, few which fall short of awesome. While the third season will be its last, it’s safe to say that Kroll Show’s hyperactive hilarity will go down as a cult favorite with the likes of ‘Strangers With Candy’ and ‘Upright Citizens Brigade’.
