A teenage boy is found wandering, naked and dazed, in traffic. At a nearby youth detention center, authorities discover that this kid -- Kyle -- is a savant who's missing instinctive human behavior like joy, anger and love. Stranger still, he's missing the one thing every mammal has: a belly button. One of the center's psychologists, Natalie Trager, realizes that Kyle needs special attention -- so she brings him home to live with her family. Soon, Kyle starts to investigate his origins ... and some people aren't too happy about it.

Alivia N 02/17/2024 One of cringiest and worst television shows I have ever seen. I wish I could forgot this show. See more 02/25/2017 The first mini-season of "Kyle XY" established the basis of the show. The second go-'round, this time the mystery behind Kyle deepens as new characters emerge to help explain his past. Without giving away any major spoilers, here are the key events of this season: -The true intentions of Tom Foss are revealed. -Kyle's real parents are discovered, and viewers discover exactly where he came from. -The true extent of Kyle's extraordinary physical/mental powers are more fully realized. -A key new character, named Jessie, emerges as a potential ally (or perhaps foe) to Kyle, as she shares some of his same characteristics. -Of course, Kyle's relationship with Amanda is also a major theme, as well as his interactions with the Traeger family. Again, like in the first season, the staple of this show is its innocence, which still manages to stay intact this year. No material is contrived or tired yet. What cements the five-star ranking, though, is the fact that something entertaining happens in every single episode. Some are more light-hearted than others, while some are darker and more suspenseful, but (without fail) every episode gives you something to get excited about. Thus, buy "Kyle XY: Season Two" with confidence knowing that the show's strong start continues over to this full season. The mysteries deepen, the characters grow, and there isn't a "dud episode" in the bunch. See more Read all reviews
