See more 12/30/2020 I found the first episode or two engaging enough to keep watching the series. However, I found the later episodes just good enough to encourage me to seethe series to its end. I note that most reviewers that gave the series very positive reviews. Commented on how the series dwells on personal relationships and the psychology of serial killers. I agree that those were the main focus of the series. Certainly not apprehending the serial killer which took second place to all of the relationship subplots. The character that the series is named after, is actually rarely seen. The actress Carole Bouquet's character looks as though she is on Valium, and for the most part is expressionless. Once again, I find myself wishing for a series that spent more time with the police solving the crime. Rather than spending time exploring their often dysfunctional relationships. I have to wonder when, and why, it became a trend for production companies to concentrate on what I consider "soap opera" subplots. I also have to wonder why so many viewers seem to be pleased with that kind of story telling.  Lastly, I have to point out that I really didn't like one detective. To the point I was hoping that if any of the police were killed or injured, it would be her. If she were my subordinate, she either would have been fired, or taken off the case.
