P M Jan 4 Too much fantasy unrealistic crap in this one. Started well but could have been a one hour Dateline episode. See more Andrew H @loafa Jan 2 They threw the cinematic sink at this one. Weird lenses, cuts to black and white, other chromatic shifts, flashbacks with both the same and different actors, cutaways to metaphorical dramatizations, breaking the fourth wall. One or two of these artistic decisions could have made it a masterpiece, but combined it's a distracting mess. It's a shame, because the performances were incredible, but couldn't power through the spasmodic directorial decisions. See more Alain E @AlainE Aug 30 An impressive construct. Personally, I am not very keen on the symbolism of the scenes in the wild West. All the cast is very good and Olivia Colman superb playing not a very nice person. I was impressed that the little girl that plays Colman’s character in childhood looks a lot like her. In American shows often there are some black characters that feel like they satisfy a quota system. Here the black attorney and the black detective are genuine people. There are many sequences in very nice black and white, although I cannot claim to have understood what was the symbolism of subtracting color. The story about Depardieu at the end was quite cute. The main lesson of the movie is: don’t murder your parents. But if you do, never come clean to any relatives. Destaco también a David y Olivia, estuvieron geniales en todo momento.
