He becomes more involved in his daughters' lives, and even tries to help eldest daughter, Kristin (Alexandra Krosney), with her young son, but he winds up getting the tyke kicked out of day care. Some of his other missteps include encouraging teenage Mandy (Molly Ephraim) to get a job delivering pizzas at night, which his wife worries is unsafe; and giving tomboy Eve (Kaitlyn Dever) some football advice, which leads to her injuring a boy on whom she has a crush. Oct 11, 2011 | Rating: C- | Full Review… Ed Bark Uncle Barky Top Critic Dreadful. Or to use a more manly phrase, aaarrgggh, awful. Oct 11, 2011 | Rating: D+ | Full Review… Verne Gay Newsday Top Critic The running gag of Last Man Standing has Allen playing the rooster in a henhouse, asserting male supremacy at every turn. Oct 11, 2011 | Rating: 1/5 | Full Review… David Hinckley New York Daily News Top Critic There's reliable humor in the formula but it's all too tedious. Oct 11, 2011 | Full Review… Joanne Ostrow Denver Post Top Critic As borderline odious and stale as some of the jokes are in the pilot, Last Man Standing could be a fixer-upper. Oct 11, 2011 | Full Review… Sarah Rodman Boston Globe Top Critic Very probably the worst sitcom on network television. Oct 11, 2011 | Full Review… Troy Patterson Slate Top Critic A throwback comedy that should have been thrown back. Oct 11, 2011 | Full Review… Mark Dawidziak Cleveland Plain Dealer Last Man Standing is never going to be as courageous as it thinks it is. Sep 28, 2018 | Full Review… Emily VanDerWerff Vox If Allen was a bumbling father to three sons before, he is even more incompetent with three daughters, and it's not funny. It's child abuse-and viewer abuse. May 11, 2018 | Rating: 3/10 | Full Review… Lily Moayeri Under the Radar Last Man Standing's boneheaded sense of gender politics would be less annoying if the jokes were funnier. Oct 11, 2011 | Full Review… Josh Bell About.com While there are a couple jokes that made us laugh, they were overshadowed by the unnecessary laugh track and the very evident been-there-done-that premise of the show. Oct 11, 2011 | Full Review… Tierney Bricker E! Online It's a harmless, run-of-the-mill family sitcom, but they've made sitcoms in the past that I've laughed at. If you aren't going to have funny jokes, then stop filling in the empty space with huge character inconsistencies and logical flaws. Benjamin J Oct 06, 2019 Release this down under - they don't show it on TV, and every single person of all ages, of the 30+ folks I've watched it with just love it! Eric S Jan 03, 2019 The difference between the audience score and the tomatometer is evidence that the critics on the tomatometer do not form a representative set of viewers. Michael A Dec 08, 2018 What a surprise, leftist hollywood "critics" hate this show. Which naturally means this is a great show as audience score shows. Seriously, "It's child abuse-and viewer abuse"-Lily Moayeri,Under the Radar??? SJWs are delusional. "unecessary laugh track"... a sitcom filmed with live audience?? stacy s Oct 17, 2018 A fantastic family driven show that albeit may sway towards Conservative values, it nonetheless bridges any gaps with other belief platforms (and accomplishes this in a funny, witty and intelligent way!).... Its cancellation came as a shock to many including myself, however it is little surprise that its revival came out swinging with the same magic that made it popular with many of us to begin with! Excellent work from the cast and crew!!! Phil C Sep 28, 2018 Dont like the new Mandy Too tall n the blonde is not right. Please change her Sep 28, 2018 new season show sucks, way to much fake laughter, gonna give it another show but it aint looking good May 16, 2018 The reason people don't like it is because it points out all the flaws of modern america and where it's trying to go. This show is amazing. Step out of the way people. Brooksey B May 10, 2018 Really funny with great cast. Gene T Jan 23, 2018 The only depth this show has is the depth of hatred it inspires in me.
